Our history
The Northern School of Woodwork started life as the Wharfedale Workshop and was located at the Corn Mill in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
After hosting hundreds of woodwork courses over many years the building was sold to developers in 2022 to turn into flats.
Today
In 2023 the workshop moved to Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, an attractive village a few miles west of Leeds, and was reborn as the Northern School of Woodwork.
We retain our links with the original owner of the Wharfedale Workshop, Chris Tribe, who has forgotten more about woodwork than many of us will ever know!
